Local SEO Audit for London Businesses

A local SEO audit finds out why customers nearby aren’t finding you on Google, and which fixes will bring the calls back first. We check your Google Business Profile, your visibility across the areas you serve, your listings, reviews and website, then turn it into a plan in plain English.
Led by a local SEO specialist with 7 years’ experience. No obligation to sign up afterwards.
Symptoms

When Google Stops Sending You Calls

Most owners don’t ask for an audit because of a ranking report. They ask because the phone has gone quiet, or a newer competitor keeps appearing above them. The symptom is rarely the cause.
What you noticeWhat’s often behind it
You appear in Google Maps near your premises, but not a mile awayWeak relevance signals, so proximity is doing all the work
A competitor with fewer reviews ranks above youA better category match, a more complete profile or stronger local pages
Calls dropped after a move, rebrand or new phone numberOld details still live on directories and map apps
You show up for your business name but not for your servicesYour services aren’t reflected in the profile or on dedicated pages
Plenty of profile views, few calls or bookingsThe profile or website isn’t persuading people to get in touch
Your profile was suspended or edited without warningA guideline issue, often the business name or address set-up
The same symptom can have different causes. The audit confirms which one applies to you.
Why area matters

Why One Ranking Check Tells You Very Little in London

Google ranks local results on relevance, distance and prominence. Distance depends on where the searcher is, so your position changes as they move.
In London that change is sharp. Competing businesses sit close together, so a search from a few streets away can return a different Map Pack. A check from your own premises usually shows your best case, not what most customers see.
So the audit measures your visibility from many points across the areas you serve. You see where you already win, where you disappear, and who takes your place.

What the area view tells you

That baseline is also what our progress guarantee is measured against.
Scope

What the Audit Examines

Six areas, each judged by one question: is it costing you enquiries?

Your Google Business Profile

We check whether your categories, services, description and business details match what customers search for, and whether the profile follows Google’s guidelines. A wrong primary category alone can keep you out of searches for your main service.

Visibility across your service area

We measure where you appear in the Map Pack and local results for each core service, area by area. This separates a profile problem from a prominence problem, or a target area that’s simply too wide.

Business information across the web

We check that your name, address and phone number match on the map apps and directories customers and search engines rely on, and look for duplicate profiles. Conflicting details weaken trust in your listing and send some customers to an old number.

Reviews and reputation

We compare your review volume, rating, recency and replies with the businesses ranking above you. Reviews affect both where you rank and whether a searcher picks you over the next result.

Your website's local relevance

We check whether each core service has a page that answers the search, whether those pages are indexed and fast on mobile, and whether the site confirms your location. A profile with nothing behind it on the website rarely holds strong positions. Fixing what we find is part of our technical SEO work.

The competitor gap

We look at what the businesses in your top three have that you don’t. That turns a general list of issues into the specific gaps worth closing first.
The outcome

What You Get From the Audit

Findings are only useful if you know what to do with them. Every issue is weighed by how much it is likely to affect calls and enquiries, and how much effort it takes to fix. The result is a short, ordered plan, not a long list of warnings.
You get a written report in plain English and a call to go through it. If you’d rather make the changes yourself or with your web developer, each one is explained clearly enough to do that.

Where the Audit Leads

Most audits point to the same two starting points. The first is usually fixing your Google Business Profile, because it’s the listing customers see first and often the quickest to improve. The second is cleaning up your business listings elsewhere online, so every platform shows the same details.
Other findings feed into service pages, reviews and local authority. That’s how the audit becomes the working plan for your ongoing local SEO, rather than a document that sits in an inbox.
FAQ

Before You Book an Audit

It can explain what an audit should cover. It can’t see where you rank across your area, your Google Business Profile data or your Search Console reports, and those are what reveal the cause.

No. The audit only reviews. Nothing changes until you approve a plan, and the manager access we ask for can be removed at any time.

Yes. Each location has its own profile, competitors and visibility, so each is checked separately. Shared issues, such as the website or brand-wide listings, are reported once.

UK agencies publish audit prices from a few hundred pounds to £2,500 or more, depending on the size of the site. Many of these are website audits that don’t cover Google Business Profile or Map Pack visibility.

A full audit once a year is usually enough. Check again sooner after a move, a rebrand, a new website or a sudden drop in calls.
